I have a laptop and it does have usb support. I am using a usb hid keyboard. (Which I have to unplug to plug in my cd burner -- do I need to reboot for that to take effect, anyone?) And I have gotten all the stuff for cdrecord working, have read all 316 relevant forums... (not kidding). But the cd burner isn't there. Here's the output of cdrecord -scanbus: Code: | [14:16 ~]$ cdrecord -scanbus
Cdrecord 2.0 (i686-pc-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2002 Jörg Schilling
Linux sg driver version: 3.1.24

Under redhat the 0,0,0 device used to be the burner. Now only the built in cd/dvd is showing up.
Ideas? Thanks. _________________ There are only 10 kinds of people:
