The WoW-Thread is very long to get an overview. I bought WoW some days ago. I think Cedega is updating their Gaming-Tool especially for WoW. Afaik from the thread, wine and cedega gets the game running. But whicht one is faster and easier to set up?

Read the first post of the WoW howto: wine all the way ! Way easier to setup, and you don't even have the minimap bug you could have with cedega. _________________ Tout ce que je suis n'est que cause

I used Cedega, and it was a simple matter of install, add a couple lines to my config, and play in d3d, with shiny water effects.
I'd say Cedega, but that's my opinion _________________ Sysadmin of Ubuntu systems and servers....

Cedega works flawlesly for me. d3d, AA, 40-100fps, water and minimap working, no lag, actually it works better in linux than in windows. Cosmos works too so i'm very pleased with cedega (last release). Transparent installation and patching too.
Haven't tried wine or running it in opengl mode but d3d works well enough, people say that opengl gives better performance but then the minimap will stop working and well... now works and I still have better fps and more responsiveness than my guildmates. |

Cedega is the product to get right now.
Give wine a month or two to work so we can work out all the bugs. _________________ I think there for I am? |

Well, that depends on you . If you like it to try out new versions and don't get sad of trying out different wine-versions you should try it. But in most cases cedega does it's job better than wine. Why? People are paying for cedega and it's transgaming's job to get games run. _________________ e17 documentation | Be free and use Jabber as your IM! | Combine IRC and IM |
