I have a laptop that i just bought a D-link DWL-AG660 card for, i have the modules configured in the kernel, and i set up pcmcia as explained inthe handbook, and the system sees the card and heres how it shows up when i do an lspci

Code:
0000:01:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications, Inc. AR5212 802.11abg NIC (rev 01)
        Subsystem: D-Link System Inc: Unknown device 3a63
        Flags: medium devsel, IRQ 10
        Memory at 10800000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [disabled]
        Capabilities: [44] Power Management version 2

and I added the card to /etc/conf.d/net as iface_eth1="dhcp" and created a copy of the net.eth0 named net.eth1 as i read in another how to guide to do, but when i try to do an iwconfig the card eth1 is not found, only lo and eth0(which is my wired connection comes up). Not really sure as of what to do this being my first experience with wireless and pcmcia/cardbus cards, any help would be greatly appreciated. Just let me know what further info may be of use.

peace

Have a look at this howto.

Also do
Code:
ls -l /etc/init.d

Look for the line
Code:
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root     6 Feb 22 18:36 net.eth1 -> net.lo

This line shows that you have created the link correctly.
