Hello Gentoo people!
I'm using the recommended "metalog" but would find it much more useful if I could team it with some automatic log analyser. Any thoughts (= what are people using and how have you found them)? Of course I can write some simple scripts, using grep [1] for instance, but I suspect someone has already invented a nice round wheel here!

[1] the sort of thing I mean is "grep -i keyword logfile" to do a case-insensitive search on keyword. |

Will check out logwatch. Most log miners / analysers seem to be set up for syslogd-style format logs and directory structure.
