since my last update my system is somehow screwed.
everytime i want to compile something i get the following error:
Code: | x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc: Internal error: Segmentation fault (program as) |
looks like the program "as" is borked. the problem is, i can't even recompile binutils, the same error.
anyone know how to solve this? maybe a prebuilt package would help? but where do i get one from? _________________ swatinux: default-linux/amd64/2006.0 x86_64

It happened to me too (and many others). Solution is somewhere on the forum.
You need to download the binary package of binutils and unpack it to your /.
Then you would be able to compile it for yourself again.
