ciao,
2 amici stanno provando a compilarmi un kernel (per questo: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-300362.html).
io ho passato loro il mio config. tuttavia entrambi hanno avuto questo errore (usando kernel diversi 2.6.8 .9 e .10):

make[1]: *** [menuconfig] Error 1
make: *** [menuconfig] Error 2

quando caricano (con load config from...in basso nel menuconfig) il mio file di config, menuconfig crasha e dà questo errore.
consigli?

nn credo l'abbia fatto: come gli ho detto ha usato il "load config from an external file" (o qualcosa del genere) che c'è nel meunconfig in basso. così carica il mio file di config e poi compila con quello.

Prova a copiare il vecchio config in /usr/src/linux/.config e lanciare:
e rispondi alle domande che ti vengono poste.

potrei sbagliarmi, ma sembra, ad occhio e croce, il parametro CONFIG_LOG_BUF_SHIFT del kernel, a cui devi avere erroneamente buttato dentro dei caratteri strani.
cerca nel tuo .config la voce che ti ho indicato e impostalo a 16 ELIMINANDO TUTTO QUELLO CHE C'È DOPO LA FINE DEL NUMERO!!! |

confermo: sono riuscito a riprodurre l'errore.
con make xconfig, a forza di tentativi ho buttato in quel parametro un carattere non stampabile, e giustamente gcc non è stato in grado di interpretare il dato come numero generando quell'errore (beh, non proprio quello, ma cmq in tutto e per tutto simile. |
