New Laptop with X problems

I just bought a brand new laptop, decided to load Gentoo on it, yay!
Install worked ok, (the GRUB splash image doesn't come up, but i can get to that later)

Here is my problem:
emerged xorg-x11 and
now when I try to configure it i realized, i don't know the vert/horiz sync ranges, and
I cannot find them, all the information that I have and that I can find on the toshiba site, just
says 1280x800 display, nothing else.

And how do i get X to handle the non-standard resolution: 1280x800.

The laptop is a Toshiba Satellite A75-S211. I would really like to get this figured out soon,

What graphics device are you using? If it is Intel Extreme Grapics 2 (i855 chip) then chances are good that the 855resolution tool from http://perso.wanadoo.fr/apoirier/ can help you. Just search the forums for '855resolution' for more info.
