I had this installed before but I never had this problem until i reinstalled my Gentoo system. Gnomad crashes all the time when trying to download from it. I am also not able to run it under a user only under root. I will display both errors. I have searched the forums and found nothing but some german post in another forum and when translating under some sites it just doesn't make sense to me:?: Also I have found the answer to the user problem but they say copy some 2 files which are no where on my system. Anyway here are the errors:
For user startup:
Code: |
Could not open jukebox:
usb_set_configuration: Operation not permitted
|
Error before crashing:
Code: |
(gnomad2:2746): GnomeUI-WARNING **: While connecting to session manager:
Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication protocols specified are supported and host-based authentication failed.
|
Crashing Error:
Code: |
(gnomad2:2764): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_strsplit: assertion `string != NULL' failed
|
I think that should be enough info.....lib-njbpre200501......gnomad2-2.6.0 Also im using the Zen Xtra 60gb.
EDIT: I'm going to unmerge both and try lower versions as mine seems to be supported there...any help would still be appreciated ...i will post results |

Alright seems to download from the mp3 player fine after emerge -C gnomad and emerge -C libnjb then emerge both previous versions 2.5.0 and 1.1.2 respectively. However I still encounter the Gnome-IU error as above and usb_set_configuration also.
Another thing i should say is that gnomad hangs for a little after the gnome-ui error but loads up fine unlike before where it would load immediately after the error. |
