This the in production topic of Goatix.
Goatix is a Gentoo Based Livecd, wich i am creating just to show off my uber l33t skills.
And more importantly, as a school project.
Now i am interested in what programs that are a "must" to include
(Please at this stage, do not suggest x.org programs, i need basic stuff first)
I'm using the Build a LiveCD from scratch guid, on www.gentoo-wiki.com

Ok, so far i figured i would need the following things
Text editor => Emacs/Vim (Whatever you want)
Ftp => Lftp
Browser => Links2/lynx
Media => Mplayer with Mplay frontend
p2p => Thinking about setting up giFTcurs
Irc => Irssi
Msn => Bitlbee (No server, acces it trough Irssi)
Those are everything i have at the moment, please give me some suggestions what to do next. |
