I have an SJIS text file I need to convert to EUC. On Redhat, I would simply copy the file into the buffer, open a new file in Kate, set the encoding to EUC, paste, and save. On Gentoo, it seems to tell me it doesn't recognize all the characters, so can't save. It's a huge file, so going a little at a time is a big hassle. I have an EUC table I could use to write some perl script to convert, but don't have the SJIS. Besides, it should be easier. Anyone have any suggestions?
