floppy on LPT port (old Dell Latitude LM)

hi all!
i have a floppy-drive from an ancient Dell Latitude LM (Dell P/N 98311) and i'd like to use it on my other notebook. The drive is a normal FDC-connecting Mitsumi D353F2, but the connection cable to LPT port seems to have some controller or adapter or so. Is it possible to use this hardware in linux? (it's working ok in _other_OS_ )
