I was wondering if it's possible to use two pieces of WLAN hardware (not necessarily at the same time).

My laptop comes with a Broadcom device which I have fully configured and working with ndiswrapper. This guy is net.wlan0 and iwconfig picks him up as such.

I recently bought a PCMCIA card with the Prism54 chipset. I have hotplug, pcmcia, yenta-sockets, prism54 all enabled in my kernel or built as modules. I've created net.wlan1, and cardctl info and ident display my card correctly, but when I hit iwconfig, it doesn't show up.

Here is the output of dmesg:

PCI: Enabling device 0000:02:01.0 (0000 -> 0002)
ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:02:01.0[A] -> GSI 19 (level, low) -> IRQ 19
Yenta: CardBus bridge found at 0000:02:01.0 [1028:017c]
Yenta: ISA IRQ mask 0x0cf8, PCI irq 19
Socket status: 30000010
cs: IO port probe 0x0c00-0x0cff: clean.

cs: IO port probe 0x0a00-0x0aff: clean.
cs: memory probe 0xa0000000-0xa0ffffff: clean.
Loaded prism54 driver, version 1.2

Is there an option I need to alter or enable in /etc/conf.d/net or /etc/conf.d/wireless?

Thanks

Prism54 drivers use the ethx name, so it's likely to be eth1 or eth0 instead of wlan1
