|
|
I was happily ripping some audio cds with cdparanoia and I changed discs and it couldn't find the disc. nothing changed, I just took out one disc and put in a new one and it stopped working. now when I try to put the old one in, that had just worked, it also fails. xmms or mplayer can't see it either. its appearing as if there is no disc in the drive.
thinking my cd drive just bit the farm I put a regular data cd in it and it worked like a charm, so I'm clueless.
Any help would be great. |

Did you properly unmount the CD before removing it?
e.g.
Code: | # umount /mnt/cdrom |
Try running that line and then see if it will mount another audio CD. |

I don't mount audio cds, since they have no file system. They are just read directly read through /dev |
