I am using Gnome. I dont know whether the problem is directly related to OOo or not, but it is certainly affected. If you look at the screenshot below, you will notice that the page view is at 100%, yet the view of the document on the page is really small. I am sure it should be larger. I can increase the view to 120% or 130%, which is better, but when I close the document and re-open it, it's back to 100% which is really small. This is with .swx format by the way. If I change the view to 120% or 130% and it's a .doc, then the next time I open the .doc the view is still at 120% or 130%. Any idea's how I can sort this out?

Is your DPI set properly? Change the DisplaySize variable in xorg.conf's monitor section. Google it if you're not sure what it is.
