How does gentoo find those ready build packages.
Should I mount them some where like /usr/portage?

I already found how to use the packages in the cdrom.
Here it is if somebody else doesn't know.

I used the following command on the package cdrom like so:
export PKGDIR="/mnt/cdrom/"

and then used --usepkg with emerge like so:
emerge --usepkg x11
