Did you set '-java' as a USE variable?

Read the docs
Look for the section called, "USE settings"

Or you can just setup the java -> look for the commands
in java documentation on main page. You must setup
the virtual machine and CLASSPATH variable. The problem
with gentoo is, that when you install java, it will not setup this parameters
and you must setup it yourself. So gentoo know, that you've installed
java but it is not setupped. |
