Hello all,

thanks for hearing me out. I have question about inserting the fglrx module when i try to do it i get this:

So my questions would be:

1. Why is fglrx not working?
2. Should I not have any other graphic driver running when i load fglrx?
3. What is PCI routing and how do I enable it?
4. Why does fglrx not detect my card?

Code:

bash-2.05b# modprobe fglrx
FATAL: Error inserting fglrx (/lib/modules/2.6.10-gentoo-r6/video/fglrx.ko): No such device

****THIS IS IN MY DMESG AFTER I TRY TO LOAD FGLRX****

fglrx: module license 'Proprietary. (C) 2002 - ATI Technologies, Starnberg, GERMANY' taints kernel.
[fglrx] Maximum main memory to use for locked dma buffers: 369 MBytes.
[fglrx:firegl_init] *ERROR* Device not found!

Now I looked at my dmesg and everything loads up fine except it says something about PCI routing is disabed, (this might be the reason why it cant find my card) posted below is the warning:

Code:

PCI: Using ACPI for IRQ routing
** PCI interrupts are no longer routed automatically.  If this
** causes a device to stop working, it is probably because the
** driver failed to call pci_enable_device().  As a temporary
** workaround, the "pci=routeirq" argument restores the old
** behavior.  If this argument makes the device work again,
** please email the output of "lspci" to bjorn.helgaas@hp.com
** so I can fix the driver.

Here is everything in my dmesg that relates to my graphic card: (in order of apperance)

It is werid that raedeonfb loads then vesafb loads i have only set the radeon driver to load using drm as of now and I want to get the real drivers to work so i can play UT2004. I think I messed up some things and it was my first Gentoo install but i dont want to re-install because to tell yuo honestly i dont have the time. But getting the driver to load would be super cool.
