Hey, when Gentoo is fully installed is there a windows emulator that is available right away just from the install or is that something that has to be attained? If the latter is there one that works better than the others?

nope its not on the live cd. You just need to emerge wine. i have seen it run games, it makes me sad had bad it is, but i suppose you dont use linux to play games, now do you :). I personally have never used wine, but i have seen it in action on 2 games. Counterstrike 1.6 and Warcraft 3 frozen thrown. On my friends computer he was not getting to good of frame rate. About 30-40 on a amd 3200+ fx 5900. And we were were also playing a wintermaul wars and he was lagging the most. I at the moment was running windows xp. and had the best system at the lan.

Oh yeah emerge wine :)

Wine is the standard emulator. It can run just about all windows applications at native speeds.
Code:
# emerge wine
but W.I.N.E. Is Not an Emulator
