emerge system problems

Figured out my little problem with my CXXFLAGS, but now I cannot find the j2sdk docs.. I have lynx, but I just can't get iti n that browser. I tried it ion firefox on this box, and I can find it just fine. So, I cannot get the docs. Is there anyways I can get it through emerge? Or perhaps bypass it? I already downloaded everything else.. any help?

Add the corresponding atom to /etc/portage/profile/package.provided until you have a SSL-capable browser other than links/lynx up and running so you can download them.
Or, do the other obvious thing - download it somewhere else and upload it to your box via scp.
