I have a Logitech Mouseman mini hooked up to a USB port. Generally I prefer to have my mouses hooked up to a ps/2 port, but when I hook the mouse up to the adapter and try using it, it lags terribly. When I do "cat /dev/input/mice" with the mouse on usb and move it, i get a big stream of output. When I do the same thing with the mouse on the ps/2 port, the output is very much reduced. It's like the bandwith of the ps/2 port isn't enough for that optical mouse I'm using, but I know that's not true. Anyone know what the problem is?
EDIT: When I hooked up my old ps/2 based Mouseman+ it lagged just as horribly as the other mouse, so it can't be the fault of the adapter; there must be something wrong with my ps/2 port (and it can't be in the xorg.conf either because that wouldn't affect cat) _________________ If you loved me, you'd all kill yourselves today.
