So I decided to update my system today, and here's what happened:
Code: |
igor~ # emerge --verbose --update --deep world
Calculating world dependencies ...done!
>>> emerge (1 of 20) sys-libs/cracklib-2.8_pre1-r1 to /
>>> Downloading http://distfiles.gentoo.org/distfiles/cracklib-2.8pre1.tar.gz
--10:32:35-- http://distfiles.gentoo.org/distfiles/cracklib-2.8pre1.tar.gz
=> `/usr/portage/distfiles/cracklib-2.8pre1.tar.gz'

>>> md5 src_uri ;-) cracklib-2.8pre1.tar.gz
igor ~ # emerge --verbose --update --deep world
Calculating world dependencies ...done!
>>> emerge (1 of 20) sys-libs/cracklib-2.8_pre1-r1 to /
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) cracklib-2.8pre1.tar.gz
igor ~ #

Above, I tried to run the same command twice but emerge just exited by itself. Any ideas on why this can be happening?

I rebooted and now everything works great but here's my emerge info anyway:

Glad to hear everything is working. Is there a reason why you have both x86 and ~x86 set as keywords? I'm assuming that in such a case, ~x86 would give you the same result.

Just out of interest, what is this thread doing in the Kernel & Hardware section? _________________ "One of the major problems encountered in time travel is not that of accidentally becoming your own father or mother ... The major problem is quite simply one of grammar..."
