I am using the Marvell Yukon/SysKonnect SK-98xx Gigabit Ethernet Adapter. It need the sk98lin drivers which im sure work for it, i can load them in as a module in the live cd, as it comes with them loaded. But on reboot into the gentoo system, i doesnt want to patch the kernel, or re-compile it with support, module or not.
So... I was wondering if anyone had Experience as to which ethernet driver to install when configuring the kernel (gentoo-dev-sources) 2.6. |

The driver is in all 2.6.x kernels, no patch required. I don´t understand what problem do you have. Recompile your kernel with sk98lin support included. |
