Hi,
I want to play DVD on intel 815 graphic with X driver i810 using
hardware motion compenstaion XvMC.
I compiled mplayer with i8x0 and xvmc support, set up a video mode 1024*768*24bpp,
but Xorg log tells, that DRI can't be initialised. DRI is present only in 16bpp video mode.
Then mplayer can use xvmc in 16bpp mode, but can't find suitable vf codec, codec 'scale' failed.
With xv or x11 video out it works, but lacks performance.
How to configure mplayer in this case?
Did anybody manage to play DVD/MPEG2 on 810/815?

To run -vo xvmc in x11 you have to add video codec ffmpeg12mc. This will only work for mpeg2

Something like

./mplayer -vo xvmc -vc ffmpeg12mc dvd://
