|

Hi all,
Few days ago I updated mu Xfce 4.0.6 to 4.2.0 using "emerge -uDv Xfce4".
But after update there is no borders, title nor any buttons (stick, minimize, maximize, close etc) to my windows.
I found that Xfwm4 is not running (there is no xfwm4 in a "ps -A" list).
I first tried to start Xfwm4 from terminal but an error appears reporting Quote: | The display does not support the XComposite extensions
Compositing manager disabled |
I am using X 6.8.0 and I found that I have to enable XComposite so I put Quote: | Section "Extensions"
Option "Composite" "Enable"
EndSection | in my xorg.conf.
But now when I run Xfwm4 from terminal another error appears and Xfwm4 still not running.
Is there any Xfwm4 log file? How can I find what could be a problem?
Help please |

Same thing just happened to me (actually since y was just instaling y didn t even had xfwm4 installed). What i did to fix it was open a term (even though is borderless) and run xfwm4 myself and logout to save session and it was fixed. |
