Nova-t dvb cards and xine-lib builds

Has anyone got DVB Nova-T cards working with builds of xine-lib later than xine-lib-1_rc6-r1? Later builds of xine-lib appear to be broken for DVB-T cards and produce a "cannot find input plugin for MRL dvb://". I don't think it's the later ebuilds themselves since the binaries for Debian also exhibit the same problem. Googling offers no solutions, any ideas anyone? It's probably not driver trouble since card works perfectly with the xine-lib-1_rc6-r1 ebuild.
