I have lost sound from my speakers - but still have it from my headphone jack at the front of the box. Also during boot, I now see | Code: | Using /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.4 as config:
Loading module intel8x0...
Failed to load intel8x0 |
I un-emerged alsasound and then re-emerged it . I then used the alsasound howto instructions to configure it. Still no speaker sound and failure to load intel8x0.
I searched the forums, but couldn't find a solution... Where to from here?

| The module should be called snd-intel8x0 I believe. |
