Ever since I upgraded to Samba 3 I can't overwrite existing files.
Here is a typical example of how my shares are set up.
Code: |
[shared]
path = /data2/shared
allow hosts = 192.168.1.100 192.168.1.200 192.168.1.250
user = user1,user2,user3
only user = yes
force group = shared
valid users = user1,user2,user3
comment = Shared Files Directory
delete readonly = yes
write list = user1,user2,user3
force create mode = 0770
force directory mode = 0770 |
Anyone have any idea what has changed for SAMBA 3 to cause this? _________________ "I do not fear computers. I fear lack of them." - Isaac Asimov

Solved.
Switch to CIFS from SAMBA in the kernel (File Systems). _________________ "I do not fear computers. I fear lack of them." - Isaac Asimov |
