Hi,
I would like to be notified of incoming email by bash. I know I have to set MAIL or MAILPATH, but I'm not certain what to set them to for maildir style email. Can someone please tell me?
Thanks |

I don't get this... Has no one else had this problem? I think I've searched the entire internet and tried #gentoo, but no one else seems to have this problem. Maybe no one else wants email notification at the prompt or something. Seems like it should be something simple like
MAILPATH="${HOME}/.maildir/new?You have mail"
but that doesn't work. I still get nothing. I've reformatted that statement so many different ways, but it just doesn't work. I guess it's not that big of a loss, but it's kind of gotten under my skin now, and I need to know what's wrong. Any ideas?
Thanks |
