my dad says only linux in the house.
Awesome! That's the best thing I've heard today.

Tried it in Cedega..... It starts the loading screen on the desktop, waits a few moments, and returns me back to the console
And that statement about linux in the house ---- WORST THING FOR ME, being a major gamer and all, not being able to play most of the good games |

Funny, I didnt find Gun metal to be all that great... The first hour is a blast to play, but then you realize that you have just done pretty much everything that is cool in the game. _________________ Check out my awesome blog! (The Best Blog Ever)

Is gunmetal directx or opengl based? You could try normal wine. |

Tried it in wine... just crashes because it doesn't find a CD... and I don't think its such an old game... I got it a 2 years ago with GeForce 4 MX440 along with BigMuthaTruckers, which too doesn't work
As far as i remeber it used DirectX 9 or 8
Hope this helps |

Maybe you should configure wine to recognise your cd drive then
If you got an up2 date wine..
Code: | cd ~/.wine/dosdevices
ln -s /mnt/cdrom e: |
|

It won't work with Wine, it needs DirectX9. (There are two GunMetal games, one old form 1998 and one from 2003. I guess we are talking about the 2003 version...) |

If you need DirectX support in wine, emerge wine-2004-1019. It comes with DriectX installed as i can play Diablo II with it without having to install DirectX .

Yeah but DirectX 9 is older than this version of wine _________________ Tout ce que je suis n'est que cause
