It runs really really slow even at the lowest settings. And it makes no differnce what I run it it. I tried using Fluxbox instead of XFCE and I have installed my drivers. Here are some various things related to my driver init.
Code: |
glxinfo | grep direct =
direct rendering: Yes
|
Code: |
glxinfo | grep vendor =
server glx vendor string: SGI
client glx vendor string: ATI
OpenGL vendor string: ATI Technologies Inc.
|
Code: |
dmesg | grep agp
agpgart: Detected NVIDIA nForce2 chipset
agpgart: Maximum main memory to use for agp memory: 439M
agpgart: AGP aperture is 32M @ 0xe0000000
|
Code: |
glxgears
9864 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1972.800 FPS
10100 frames in 5.0 seconds = 2020.000 FPS
10100 frames in 5.0 seconds = 2020.000 FPS
|
My system specs are a
- Athlon XP 1.65 GHZ
- Sapphire Radeon 9600 XT
- nForce 2 chipset
- Kernel 2.6.10-gentoo-r6
If anyone has any ideas I would like to hear from you I want to play my UT2004 and some other games on Linux so I can break free from Windows! If there is anything else you would like to see just ask! And if anyone knows how to get the FPS in UT2004 please tell me, just in case anyone wants to see what I'm getting. Thanks a lot. |
