i am having this trouble on each reboot, it's related with my nvidia card, each time i boot/reboot my pc i have to type in these commands to be able to play q3a:
chmod 0666 /dev/nvidia*
chown root:root /dev/nvidia*

WTF?
First off what device file system are you using, devfs or udev?
Secondly are you using the xfree/xorg driver or the nvidia binary (media-video/nvidia-kernel) |

wtf?
there was something else i was going to add on the first post but i am not getting that error message anymore, i still have to type in those commands.
udev
xorg with nvidia-glx
opengl-update nvidia
