Hi everyone !
I managed to install linux with 2.6.10 kernel. During installation network card worked well, now, i login and get the message:

bringing eth0 up...
eth0: unknown interface: no such device

and with ifconfig eth0
eth0: error fetching interface informazion: Device not found.

how do I install the driver? I downloaded a linux driver, but i don't really know how to install it: it is a file called 2216sco.zip, I unzipped it and got a directory containing a scolsen.tar file. Unzipping this scolsen.tar i get a /usr/lib/custom path with a file lsen.rmv

ummm it was late and I was tired 8)
I awoke this morning and recognized I took the wrong setting in kernel config. My network adapter emulates realtek, but actually there are two realtek drivers in kernel config. Yesterday I just tried the wrong one

Now the problem is another :?

Eth0 has driver, but doesn't send packets:

#ifconfig eth0

eth0 Link encap:UNSPEC HWaddr 00-02-3F-22-13-00-23-AD-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00
