Hi,
I am using KDE3.3.2 and yesterday I updated a config file with etc-update. Since then my login screen looks different. I can not remember which config file I updated (something like *choose*).
Does anyone know which file I have to modify and what I have to set there to get the default login screen back again?
Thanks

you mean the graphical login screen? it might be xdm, KDM, GDM, Entrance or something like that. I guess if you use KDM, then you can change its looks in Control Center under System Administration -> Login Manager. I might be wrong thou... I've always used the console |

Yes the graphical login screen. I am using KDM as windows manager. So I tried to do some changes in the control center - system adminstration - login manager but this didn't help.
Well starting a non graphical linux, and start X after you have logged in has some advantages ... but I am to lazy ....

maybe you should write a .bashrc script or something that starts X immediately on login. unless you enjoy the eye-candy
as i'm not using KDM myself, i can't help you. But maybe it'd help you, if you'd provide some more information about what exactly is different about it. |
