So, I'm not sure that this is the place to post this, but I've been able to get a $40 PCMCIA 802.11b card (made by "Hawking", a random cheap network hardware manufacturer selling gear at the local Fry's) running under Gentoo with a small change to /etc/pcmcia/config, and want to submit the diff to those who will be able to do good with it.
If the Gentoo maintainers want to upstream this to whoever maintains the PCMCIA packages the system uses, then just give me the URL, and I'll send it that way -- otherwise, I'm happy to offer it here, so that future cheap bastards like me can have an effortless install. _________________ Lennon Day-Reynolds
