hi all,
i was wondering how difficult it is to install gentoo hardened kernel on a pre-existing system.
will there be difficultys with my filesystem or anything of that sort. also does hardened slow down
a computer, as in should i not use hardened on a 500mhz laptop? also i heard about SE linux and
was wondering if there are any suggestions or complaints between the two. let me know what you
all think. |

I do not believe upgrading to SELinux would be a simple undertaking. I do know that you can certainly install a hardened kernel on an existing system, or patch your existing kernel with gr-security without any problems. You'll want to add hardened to your use flags, recompile glibc and gcc, setup PaX, SSP, etc and recompile your system. |
