Development kernel & Nvidia

Do Nvidia -drivers work with the current development-kernel (2.5.59) ? Last time I tried with 2.5.40, then Nvidia drivers (31.90 or so) didnt work... Or would it be better to install current stable kernel ?

Last time I tried (2.5.57 I think) they did not work.

there are patches at www.minion.de to assist , but they
are currently broken waiting for a fix to 2.5.59's linker script
patch problem.
