Hello everyone,
I have a Soundblaster Live! 24-Bit and am happy that the appropriate drivers are noe included in the new kernel.
However, this card keeps silent. I unmuted all channels and dmesg also looks good. Tested it with gstreamer apps. Any experiences?
Code: | ALSA device list:
#0: Live! 7.1 24bit [SB0410] at 0xc000 irq 16

Strangely the card is NOT found at boot time when I compile the driver as module, although it is in /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6
lsmod now:
Code: | Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.8 (Thu Jan 13 09:39:32 2005 UTC).
ALSA device list:
No soundcards found.

I thought about that, too. 5.1 doesn't seem to make it into the driver in near future and that is not "The perfect upgrade for enhanced Music, Movies, and Games." As Creatives claims it to be. |

It's a downgrade alright. The old Live 5.1 is much better, and better supported under Linux (I got an Audigy because I couldn't find a Live). |
