How do I start a program as a certain user each time my system boots? |

put it in /etc/conf.d/local.start _________________ My favorite links this month:

rc-update only seems to work when there is a script in /etc/init.d for it
if the otherone works I will see after next reboot but that does not start the program as a certain user... at least I do not see how

You can emerge sudo and use it to launch a command as a different user.
