Im using the vesa framebuffer (old modell)
And once in while it gets corrupted and unreadable (eg when playing some movies with mplayer in vesa mode)
Still it works so i can start stuff, eg startx... but when i quit its still messed up.

So i would like to know if theres any method to reset the framebuffer (without restarting the computer)

Please tell me how I can compile vesafb as a module. The as per the developer of vesa-tng, it cannot be.
