I tried to downgrade my glibc and my emerge broke, now everything just segfaults. I cannot even boot(!), I can however mount my system from a livecd but i get seg fault when i try to chroot.

is there no way I can symlink back to the old glibc so I then can chroot in to my system? |

the old glibc is likely gone now. You could copy all the glibc files from the LiveCD into your system, that *should* work if it's just glibc that's broken. I googled and turned up blank on your error, though. _________________ Programming is the process of putting bugs in.
