Hi !
I just installed a new router for my friend and need something that is easy and maybe graphical to manage iptables.
He used to have a BBIagent router: http://www.bbiagent.net/en/index.html and I'm looking for an interface that is maybe similar to that of BBIagent. BBI uses a Java interface but I would prefer a terminal based one...
Anyway is there something that is easy and quick to use and also allows a great deal of control ?
Regards

I really like fwbuilder. It uses X but it's object based and has as builtin installer that uses ssh.
Once you have a raw basic ruleset implemented it can easily adapted.

uses X in what way ? I can access the router through ssh or something non-physical so anything that requires a graphical interface on the router itself is out of the question... and the router doesn't have the x server on it. _________________ It's all about open source

Exactly,
you can use fwbuilder on any workstation (Linux/Unix or Windows) and need only sshd and sudo or a selfmade script on the router machine.
