Funny -- the resolution and video card combinations make me wonder if that poster has got the same line -- if not the same model -- laptop as me: Compaq Presario R3470US. I just picked mine up a few days ago so I haven't been eager to wipe it to install Gentoo just yet; I'll need it working for a business trip next week and don't want to spend the trip trying to squash bugs and get all the applications I need compiled. :P

Thanks for posting this info, though -- I'm slowly accumulating information about how to set it up, which will hopefully result in less downtime when I finally decide to switch.
