Hello everyone! :)

Here's the problem.

I working under command line (I don't need Xwindow). But I need to enlarge the number of rows. Just for working with pleasure! :wink:

You can
  • Compile a frame buffer enabled kernel (see the various framebuffer HOWTOs in the Documentation forum and at http://gentoo-wiki.com). Drawback - a frame buffer console is much slower than a pure text console, and you might have some low refresh rate issues depending on which card you use.
  • Compile a kernel without frame buffer console, but with video mode selection support, and use the
    Code:
    vga=356
    command line parameter. That will give you a 132 column pure text console. This is what I use. Remember to also adjust the console font in /etc/rc.conf if you don't like how it looks by default.
