i have two LAN interfaces, 0 and 1

0 is going through my router and 1 is going to my other pc via a crossover
when i bring eth1 down the internet works fine through eth0, but when eth1 is up it stops working... how do i tell gentoo that eth0 is my internet and eth1 is crossover and make it so it uses eth0 all the time?

cheers
