Hello
J'avais un serveur uw-imap qui marchait bien. J'ai fait une mise à jour et depuis il ne fonctione plus, ou plus exactement je ne peux pas y acceder en non-ssl.
Lorsque j'essaye de me conecter au serveur imap j'ai le massage suivant :
| Code: | | imapd[6703]: Login disabled user=user auth=user host=gentoo.mondomain.dyndns.org [192.168.0.2] |
Je n'ai rien changé a part une mise ajour de mon arbre portage puis une mise a jour de uw-imap.
Mes recherches sur le net ne m'ont rien données, j'espere trouver une reponse ici.

Lors du etc-update, aurais-tu remplacé ta config dans /etc/xinetd.d par hasard ?

Mon fichier /etc/xinetd.d n'a pas changé  |

| Voila c'est resolu, il suffisait de mettre la variable USE : clearpasswd. |

J'ai eu le même problème.
Une autre "difficulté" doit laisser l'imapd seul et l'enable"use le connection bloqué (SSL)" dans "les arrangements de serveur" de votre lecteur de courrier. Alors vos mots de passe ne seront pas envoyés au-dessus de l'Internet en texte en clair.
(désolé pour l'anglais, j'ai lu ceci avec la traduction des firefox plugin et elle m'a mené à la solution correcte)

I had the same problem.
Another "fix" is to leave imapd alone and enable"use secure connection (SSL)" in the "server settings" of your mail reader. Then your passwords will not be sent over the internet in cleartext.
(sorry for the English, I read this with firefox's translation plugin and it led me to the correct solution)
