I decided to use a debian sarge system for my main desktop because i can't have the downtime i need to setup a gentoo box. My laptop uses gentoo and i am wondering if i can compile a gentooed kernel to use with my main desktop so i can still say i am part gentoo :O |

Hmm, I forsee problems with modules ...
Personally, if I wanted sarge, I'd stick with sarge (I deleted mine last night, actually). Mixing things up will just get messy, I think. _________________ noobus perpetuus |

Sure it works. I copied over the hardened-sources to a woody box and compiled it there. All you do is scp /usr/src/linux-kernel.version debianbox:/usr/src and then set it up. It's not that hard. |

Why not just compiling the whole thing from debian and then switch to it when it's ready? _________________ I am Beta, don't expect correct behaviour from me.
