how to manage a yunto q450 ups?

Hi folks,

i got a yunto Q450 ups from ONLINE (http://www.online-ups.com) and want to know if there is an open source way to handle it.
Customers can download an upsmanager binary called datawatch from ONLINE (http://www.generex.de/d/download-online/upsman/download.html), but i realy don't like precompiled binaries and i am not the original customer, thus i dont have any license bullshit.
This ups provides an RS232 serial interface.

Has anybody experiences with a noname ups or even better the same one?
Does anybody know a daemon tool which can monitor this yunto ups, shutdown my box on powerfail and provides some interesting values which i can evaluate with my graph software and make some nice colored pictures of?
Is there something in portage? I know this APC daemon....but its only for APC products....well, i think so...
