Hi.
I have the ati card and and the 3d acel was working under xorg 6.7.2 but when I changed to 6.8.x the 3d just stoped working and I have tried a lot of stuff but can't seem to find the problem.
Wait I also had to recompile te kernel(2.6.10) but I think it stay pretty much the same so any ideas what the problem could be.
And if it's xorg( really wanted to try composite) how can I emerge xorg 6.7.x all I can see in portage is 6.8.x?.

mind posting your error log for xorg?
it's at /var/log/Xorg.0.log
and put it inside a code tag please. it makes it look better and easier to read. |

I'd say that's your problem right there. Try checking all the options in your kernel config again. The last few times I've had problems with DRI it was because I forgot something in the kernel.

could yo give me some more info about what could ber wrong in the kernel or what would i need to change.
Also where can I fing the source for xorg 6.7.x or how can it be downloaded from portage if I anly see 6.8.2.

X.org 6.7.0 was pulled from portage because it had security issues. According to your log you have 6.80 so upgrade to 6.8.2, it has lots of fixes.
Do you use the radeon DRM module from x11-dri or the one from the kernel? |

that is what dmesg tellme when modprobe radeon and I alredy updgarde to xorg 6.8.2 |
