I am running xampp for linux. This was also posted in apachefriends forums.
My linux box seems to be ignoring everything outside the homenetwork. I asked my friend to try to access something and it could not. I tried with a proxy and had similar results. However, without the proxy, even with a ddns service I was able to access the server. It is running gentoo genkernel 2.4 gentoo-sources. I tried running xampp for windows and redirecting port 80 to that computer instead and it worked fine with a proxy. How would I go about making my box stop ignoring anything outside my network?
I think thats the problem anyways ><. |

Are you running a firewall between your home network and the internet? Is that where your proxy server is?
If you have a firewall running, you need to do some port redirects to direct the incoming traffic to your web box. The proxy server you are using shouldn't have anything to do with connections coming in from the internet.
