I know how dangerous logging into root is, but I would really like to do so.

In KDM (KDE 3.4), I try and login to root and it tells me something like "Root logins are not allowed." -- how do I enable it? It's a security measure, sure, but I wish to disable it.

Edit:

Ok, I found it. For future reference, here is what I did:

in /usr/kde/3.4/share/config/kdm/kdmrc,

change:

AllowRootLogin=false

to:

AllowRootLogin=true

Simple as that :).

Just curious: for what reason do you need to log in as root?
